About the Artist

Born and raised in Ghana, I am a performer, director, new works deviser and gourd artist who began her artistic training in Accra. I moved to the United States after a brief career in Ghanaian television to pursue my Master of Fine Arts degree in Theater at Towson University, Maryland.

A year after my degree at Towson, I discovered my love and talent for gourd art and decided to pursue it. Each gourd takes me on a different and thrilling journey. I’m glad I found this craft as it is fulfilling and meaningful in a way that’s hard to explain. And I am every bit as excited to share my creations with you.
